On 22nd October 2002, Philippine Health Caregivers' Institute (PHCI) was duly registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission as a corporation. It, as well, was granted an accreditation by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), the Philippine national accrediting body for all technical and skilled workers for local and overseas employment, under accreditation number WTR 0413042015. This is in the basis of the institutions compliance with TESDA's standard requirements.
Philippine Health Caregivers' Institute, now Philippine Health Caregivers and Skills Development Institute, Inc. (PHCSDII), has adopted the Canadian Standard in its caregiver course.
The primary purpose of the corporation is to establish educational care centers, develop allied technical skills, improve facilities and develop related programs pertaining thereat, for the purpose of providing educational and technical consultancy services including caregiver training course and other subsequent occupational/technical, and educational skills program.
PHCSDII Articles of Incorporation also allows PHCSDII to act as agent, representative or liason company of local or foreign business entities except as insurance agent.
Mr. Ricky Roceles is the President of PHCSDII. He is as well the President of the Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina, San Juan (PaMaMariSan) District of Tesda; co -founder and board director of the Federation of Caregiver Training Center Association of the Philippines. He is also a member of the curriculum committee of the Health Care Industry Council, a non-profit organization funded by the Australian Aid to assist the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), in developing competency based curriculum at par with international standards.
Mrs. Cosuelo Lency Roceles is the Managing Director. She worked for 20 years in an airline company. After availing of an early retirement, she established a family owned travel agency. Her devotion to helping people lead her to put up a foundation, Matthew 25:34-40 Foundation. The foundation supported scholars coming from the lower strata of society; assisted in livelihood projects of those who have less in life.
Our main mission is to educate and train quality workers to meet international standards thereby guaranteeing excellent service to their patients; enhance their Filipino traits of being industrious, trustworthy, kind, loyal, amiable, adaptable, conscientious on top of their world known traits of tender, love and care.
The Philippine Health Caregivers and Skills Development Institute believes in providing an alternative quality training program for manpower development that is short-termed, skill-related and employment-linked.
It aims to equip caregiver/health aides with the basic knowledge and competency that would enable him/her to respond to the needs of times, and capable of promoting health of clients either for local or foreign requirements; and lastly, it believes in the need to upgrade the status and standards of the caregiver/health care industry to become partners in the global progress.
